Below is a quick summary of what's where.
In the News section you will find a gig guide,
information about recent gigs and details of projects I am currently working
on. Here you can also find stop press items.
The Accordion has been the basis of my career and
has sections covering my work as a solo performer in various settings. Themed
events are there with separate sections for Music Hall and Trafalgar.
Four years on from my work at Warwick Castle, the Minstrel is now a completely
separate strand. There's the solo wandering minstrel, duos with Tamsyn,
Historical dance with Nonsuch, a Green Man concept which involves work at
National Trust venues, Nature Days and Garden Centres, and a
medieval/tudor/histerical [sic] band called Null Nomine.
The Dance section covers all my calling work
including workshops and Maypole dancing. Bands is what it says it is – there
are at least three and each of them can vary. You tell us what you want and
we'll try to provide it.
Most of my Teaching work is done through Tradamis
(a whole different website) but there are certain bits that happen outside the
Tradamis work, whether it's community events, preparing couples for a 'first
dance' at their wedding or other ideas. Also, while I don't give regular
accordion lessons any more, I do give tutorials, and there is information on
them as well.
How it all looks and sounds is important. The
Gallery is the place for this. At the moment it's just pictures; sound clips
will follow but in the meantime you will have to contact me for demo CDs.
Programmes gives lots more background information: sample programmes, thoughts
on ideas and events, track listings and the stories behind some of our more
unusual events.
However, it may be worth a team apology at this
point: because of the variety of what I do, it is not always possible
to put things where you might expect to find them. For instance, Null
Nomine Daunce gets mentioned in Bands because it is one, but it is
described in more detail in the Minstrel section because that's what it
does and it sort of fits there too!
Links, Contacts and Site map are just like any other site.
Enjoy.
